Holiday season is drawing to a close as many return to work and the kids go back to school. Hoping you've been able to enjoy a break with loved ones and haven't been badly affected by the cyclones and storms that have put a damper on holiday plans along Australia's eastern seaboard.

Are you planning to visit our cellar door in the next month or two? The hops are looking great and we have plenty of shaded and sunny seating available, plus picnic blankets. There's also indoor seating for when the weather reminds us that we're in Tasmania (it really can snow any month of the year!).

Our trading hours from now until the end of April are midday to 5pm, Thursday to Sunday. We'll start our hop harvest on Sunday 3 March, if you'd like to pick, weave or just enjoy some music & brews.

Did you miss that? Platypus 500 has been brewed a second time and is tasting superb! It's available on tap and takeaway from our cellar door (including growler fills); we're also taking it to Launceston Harvest Market on Saturday mornings. As the warm weather continues, we have BoHo Pils, Kentish Ale, Platypus 500 and Stark Raven on tap, Cherry Saison is also available by the glass and these five make up our current tasting paddle. For takeaways we recommend a slab of our BoHo Pils, or check out the "splitter" mix of BoHo and SIPA on our website. This is the first batch of SIPA to go into cans, we hope you'll love it as much as we do.

3 Black Cats, the ultimate indulgence, has had a price re-set, down to $240 per carton of 16 x 500ml bottles. It's a blend of our three black beers (Stark Raven, Willie Warmer and Black Inca) conditioned in an ex-whisky oak cask over several months before bottle conditioning. Think rich, dark chocolate and wooded whisky characters.

Freight rates rising - we've been carrying $10-20 per carton on mail order freight to most destinations since COVID arrived in 2020. Freight prices, like most of our costs, keep going up, so we'll be revising our freight prices early 2024. To avoid paying extra, order online before 29 February. Tasmanian postcodes currently pay no freight at all but will be paying $10 per carton when the changes go through.
