TassieOffSeason KS210530073
After two record breaking quarters in a row (wow, thank you!), we were pretty excited to discover that #TassieOffSeason had become a thing and winter was looking like fun. We set up the fire pits and started offering mulled mead to our cellar door visitors and everything was going well... until borders started closing again.
Our thoughts are with all our customers and friends in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and other areas grappling with the latest COVID-19 lockdowns; and to Tasmanians interstate who are trying to come home while flights are being cancelled and road-trippers risk being forced into two-week quarantines on arrival.
If you're in Tasmania and still able to travel freely, we'll have the cellar door open during July and August from 11am to 5pm Friday to Sunday, offering mulled mead alongside our range of fine brews (please bring your own fine food).
We'll also be at Launceston Harvest Market every Saturday morning; and our online store remains open 24/7.
On the beer front, Willie has just done a pilot brew with an ingredient he hasn't been able to source for some time. After a very pongy vigorous primary ferment it has now settled down and is looking (and smelling) good. All going well, one of our earlier speciality brews will be back on the list sometime in Spring.
While our Paradise Pale long necks finish their bottle conditioning, grab the opportunity to stock your fridge with the 500ml bottles (which we don't normally retail). They're only available by the carton, online.
We also have a very limited stock of Smoak: Barrel-aged Smokin' Bagpipes which you'll need to order by email (please send the delivery address and postcode with your order so we can give you the correct freight price). This is available in 16 x 500ml cartons at $163 plus freight, or as part of a mixed carton of 16 x 500ml beers. If you're in Tasmania, freight is free and most of our interstate freight prices are also discounted.
If you're doing dry July, now might be the time to pick up something special for a lazy Sunday afternoon on 1 August.
Here's to social gatherings around the fire pit sooner than later!
